Route : Bossòst , Mina Marglida , Bassa d´Arres , Arres de Sus , Arres de Jos , Benós , Arró , Era bòrdeta, Pònt deth Pas deth Lop, Pònt de Hèr, Bossòst. Description : The following route starts and ends in Bossòst, and will let you discover some small villages of Terçò de Lairissa .You need a high technical and fitness level, due to the fact that there is a lot of ascending along this route and the poor conditions of the track in some sections. The descent down from Arres to Era Bordeta requires an excellent control of the bike. If you don´t like trial type descents you can take the track from Arres to Bossòst . Another alternative we must remark is the Pas deth Lop bridge to the Der Hèr bridge, considering it is the last section of the route, and that the path between these two places is quite difficult, an option would be to go along the N-230 , taking extreme precaution with the traffic, especially in the summer. The summer. The high part of this route will let us enjoy very nice views over Baish and Mig Aran, like the Maladeta massif, and you will also find some ideal places to rest like the Arres pond. If you finally do decide to follow the path all the way, you will not be let down even though there will be sections that will have to be completed on foot , as this will make you discover the paths that run trough the deepest parts of the Des Artigaus oak grove and take you to some of the quietest villages including Benós and Arró.
Km 6 Margalida mine (1500) The entry is on the left and frequently there are landslides. Km 10.5 Cross the Margalida gully, and shortly after you go past a path that leads to the Bossòst tenant houses. Keep o0n climbing trough sections that are not in good condition obviously making the climb harder, with sharp corners where the forest keeps opening up. Km 11 Margalida gully: After crossing various gullies, you come in to the shady side of the mountains , as you enter a thick forest of fir trees and further on pine trees. Km 11.85: It is the highest point of the route, at 1600 m . Continue along a quite flat section , until you come to a downhill slope. Km 13.9 Arres pond (1560m) : It is a clearing, with a natural spring , a small pond and a few tables, making it the ideal place for a rest. Km 14.35 Fork junction : Go past the path on the left that takes you to Uishèra and Montlude ( If you took that path it would take you to Vilamós ). Keep on descending , you will then come out of the forest and cross various fields and prairies that will tak us into village. Km 17 Arres de Sus (1320m) : You are at the beginning of the village and you go past a track that would take you to Bossòst ( 8.6 Km Hawai from Arres following the track) this would be the option if you decided not to descend along the mountain path . The route takes you to the square, where you will find the bridge and the GR-211, that you join on the right down the Carrer Sant Sernilh , witch then turns in to a path. Km 17.2 Sant Joan d´Arres : On the right there is the church that is in between both villages. A few metres further on you go past a water deposit. Km 17.4 Arres de Jos (1320m) Go through the villages, and you will go past a path that would take you to the Pas deth Lop bridge, and further on, to the left there is a fountain and a square, and the road that leaves Vilamós keep on going past the Sant Fabian church, where you pick up a path that will take you to the magnificient Des Artigaus oak grove .Shortly after you will go past a path on the right. Km 18.45 Es Manhaits (1075m) At this junction you come off the GR that goes to the right to meet up with the PR-C-114, on the left, that heads up towards Vilamós. Head downhill, going past a tenant house, and cross a long diagonal path that will bring you close to Benós. Km 19.6 Junction (910m) You come to a rather flat path, if you turn left, after about one hundred metres you come to the Sant Joan hermitage and the villages of Benós (worth a visit). Keep going along the right, taking precautions not to lose your balance due to the narrowness of the path, which will take us quite easily to the villages of Arró . Km 20.6 Arró (915m) Come off the PR and cross the village along the Arró gully.It is a path that after going past the last houses, heads north with a slight climb. Km 21.35 Fork junction (940m) Once you have past the Arieu gully you come to the GR that descends from Manhaits. Continue along the left (Without leaving Bossòst), along the descent you go past the Arieu tenant house (in ruins) with sections needing a lot of technical experience, you may have to do some sections on foot. Km 21.75 Des Horcades gully : There is a tenant house on the left, after going around various closed bends, the descent continúes and further down you fgo past another tenant house until you come to the main road. Km 22.3 Era Bòrdeta (775m) Keep on going along the N-230 until you come to the bridge over the river Garona, cross the bridge and join the Camin Reiau. Continue along the GR along the right climbing until you come to the last houses. That is where the descent starts, going past various chalets and a fountain. Further on you will come off this path, either side of the path there are various tenant house and a refuge. Km 23.5 Cross over the N-230 to join the old road that will take you to the old Pas deth Lop bridge. Once you are on the other side, you join a path that has a strong climb following the right bank of the river Garona. Further on you will go past a blue metal door keep on the path , it is quite difficult to complete it on the bike , and you will probably end up walking the last bit. Km 24.35 Reguder tenant house: You arrive here after a long descent, and you come off it towards the lower part of it. A section starts here that will be completed on foot and will take you to a place known as Era Bordassa, on the right there is a high tension electricity tower, walk down the narrow path until you reach the river. Km 24.85 Close to the Garona, keep going along the grass path under the high tension alectricity line, going past a drinking trough and some stables. Km 25.25 De Hèr bridge (735m) On the left you will go past a bridge and the N-230 , keep going forward along the Camin Reiau .Further on you will go round an electrical plant and just before you get to Bossòst you will cross over a canal. Km 27 Bossòst (710m) You come to the bridge where the route comes to an end.
